I am the last girl child born to the ruler of the spear and the defender of mankind
Who lived among the mustangs and the cowboys until she was two.
I am the child who played lab technician and bill collector and caught fire flies in jars that still smelled like pickles.
I am the girl with freckles and dog ears who loved cinnamon toast and Lawrence Welk.
Who stored petrified wood and wheat pennies in her treasure box.
Who dreamed of having 10 kids and never thought she would ever have a boyfriend.
I am the frizzy haired accident prone teenager who fell everywhere she went and wished to live in a real neighborhood with real neighbors.
Who wore parachute pants and jelly shoes and loved Anne of Green Gables and hated her step-father.
Who pretended to smoke pot while listening to Pink Floyd but never even took her first drink until she was an adult.
Who dreamed of college in another state but knew deep down inside she would never get there.
I am the woman who married for all the wrong reasons the first time and stayed married for all the wrong reasons the second time.
Who loves her Heavenly Father and her child and her best friend.
I am the mother who loves making her kid laugh and goes crazy when school holidays run much too long and whose moments of perfect bliss come when she sees the light at the end of the tunnel.
I am the daughter who still hides things from her mother avoids thinking about her father and wants to learn the names of all of her ancestors.
I am the woman who’s finally learned to control her temper, laughs often and loves too much.
I am the person who keeps making the same mistakes but thinks she finally has it all figured out.
I am the woman who still loves bubble baths and donuts but never mixes the two.
Who still longs to walk barefoot among the red clover and longs for HOME..
I am the person who dreams of growing old with her best friend and is grateful for her faith and who hopes to see the lighthouse just once more.

For the record, mine is not me. I just was prompted to create a new character through this prompt. Repeat: I am not this pathetic. (But sometimes I do like to smell my fingers after an hour of sorting coin and imagine I'm a robot. )

I am the baby born in a test tube to the crazy woman and the sperm donor, who waited in vain for the chance to become a robot boy.
I am the child who played alone and alone and alone,
who loved robots and ninjas and rocket launchers,
who stored scraps of skin in my treasure box,
who dreamed of the planet Sunaru and never thought he would make it there.
I am the teenager who ached for love, sex, and rockets,
who wore aluminum foil and tin cans and loved nothing and hated the world,
who threw the cherry bombs into the toilets and never got caught and then ached for recognition;
who dreamed of the planet Sunaru and knew he would never make it there.
I am the man who still aches to pupate,
who loves robots and ninjas and rocket launchers.
I am the manchild who loves the idea of being a robot underneath all this hated skin and goes crazy if I have to admit that I'm not,
and whose moments of perfect bliss come when my hands, after hours of playing with coin, smell like tin and, for just a moment, I can believe that I am a robot.
I am the loser who loves no-one and avoids everyone and who aches for a different life.
I am the manthing who dreams and schemes and still blows up toilets with cherry bombs.
I am the person who wiles away hours on the internet and then wonders why my life sucks.
I am the manchild who still loves robots and ninjas, but never a woman.
Who still longs to learn robotic ninjitsu in zero-G.
I am the person who dreams of the planet Sunaru and the big breasted robot ninja amazons who inhabit it and is grateful for these dreams;
and who hopes to someday make it there.
